LG confirmed that it will announce new LG V20 at an event in San Francisco on September 6th, and today they announced one of the key features of new flagship. LG V20 is set to be world’s first smartphone to feature a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analog converter) capabilities, it will offer best-in-class audio.
The Quad DAC chipset will allow V20 to deliver a crisp and clear sound that comes much closer to a live performance when compatible wired headphone are used with the phone. It also has capability to reduce up to 50 percent of ambient noise levels. Voice recording will also be able to record superior quality audio. The company says, “Videos taken with the V20 are accompanied by a soundtrack that can capture the roaring sound of waves crashing on a beach or conversations among two individuals at a noisy party.”
ESS Technology company will be partner to deliver the Quad DAC for the V20, the same company that made the DAC inside the last years flagship LG V10. “We are extremely excited that our Quad DAC technology will be featured in the V20, LG’s latest flagship smartphone for consumers who demand the best media experience. As a technology more typically available in high-end audio equipment, Quad DAC on the V20 will make users feel as if they are carrying around a professional home-audio system on their smartphone,” said Robert Blair, president and CEO of ESS Technology.
The LG V10 received high results for its stunning audio quality last year, so there is no reason not to be excited for the V20. Other rumored specifications of the V20 are Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 5.7 inch Quad HD display and a modular design just like LG announced with the LG G5.
